DIY Folding Pallet Gardening Bench

PalletGardeningBench01
DIY gardening bench made from two pallets.

If you garden at all, you need a potting bench. Yes, you could transplant seedlings hunched over the  back patio, if you don’t mind a sore back later in the evening. You could re-pot all your houseplants on the dining table – if you don’t mind the mess.

Or you can simply do without the sore back and the mess by making your own potting bench from scratch.

There’s nothing easier and cheaper than this DIY gardening bench we found which takes only about half an hour to make!

What makes this project better than other pallet potting benches is that you don’t need a crowbar or a jigsaw to dismantle the planks. You’ll be using the pallets as they are. Plus, you can easily adjust the work surface to a desired height. It’s designed to be mounted on any vertical surface that’s good for holding up the weight of these pallets.

This gardening table is very practical for its open storage so that you can easily find and access any of the tools you need. The wide work area is great as you can fold it up should you need to clear up the space that it’s taking.

All you need is to find two pallets, less than a hundred dollars for the hardware, and 30 minutes to accomplish this project.

You’ll need these materials:

  • 2 – Pallets
  • 6 – Heavy Duty C-Shaped Screws
  • 4 – 4″ Strap Hinges
  • C-Hooks
  • Chain

And this tool:

  • Cordless Drill
