Compost is a staple in every garden. They make the plants healthy and enrich the soil. But did you know that you can also make liquid compost? It’s called compost tea because they’re made by steeping compost material in water. It’s pretty much like how we prepare our tea at home.

Compost tea is a great way to protect plants. They cover the plant with beneficial microorganisms for healthy growth. Also, they act as an organic fertilizer, feeding the roots.

If you have compost at home, use that. Otherwise, you can make your own or buy from a gardening store. As a tip, avoid compost that uses animal manure. It might contain e-coli bacteria and you wouldn’t want that. Although making a compost tea should kill the said bacteria, you don’t want to leave it to chance. Better safe than sorry, right?
