Growing garlic is very easy. In fact, it’s so easy even kids can grow them. They don’t require much care and attention. They have pretty basic needs: good soil and the right moisture. Of course, you need to know the best times for planting and harvesting.

You don’t have to have a large garden to grow your own garlic. They can grow in small containers, enough to give you a fresh supply for several months in a year.

When choosing which variety to plant, you would have to make a choice between hard necks and soft necks. Your choice will ultimately depend on where you live – the climate, specifically.

Gardening experts say it’s best to plant garlic halfway through the fall season. Plant them on loose, fertile soil. Make sure the area is free from weeds. They’ll soon start to grow roots. By late spring or early summer, you can start harvesting. Before storing them, remember to cure and clean them.

Happy planting!
